Pilot booking terms
Clear terms for good timing.
These are plain-language pilot terms for the Lenaia MVP. Lenaia provides discovery, booking and check-in technology. Participating licensed venues remain responsible for the promotion, sale, discounting and service of alcohol.
Table offers and check-in
A table offer is valid only for the displayed venue, party size and arrival window and may not exceed 30% off. The customer must show the unique Lenaia barcode to venue staff before ordering. A successful staff scan activates the offer for that visit; the venue applies the stated discount to the eligible final bill when the customer settles. The arrival window never requires alcohol to be consumed within a particular time. No receipt upload or customer spend report is required.
Booking and payment
At launch, a table offer displays a $3.50 customer activation fee and the venue pays $3 per guest actually checked in. Experience and rare-pour bookings may exceed the table-offer discount limit only where the listing specifies fixed inclusions and serving quantities; unlimited service, refills and consumption-based rewards are not permitted. These bookings display an approximately 4.5% customer fee and a 12% venue commission on completion. Customers pay the licensed venue directly for all wine, food and experiences. Online payment collection is not yet connected in this prototype.
Customer cancellations and no-shows
Customers may cancel online using their booking reference and email. Unused barcodes expire after the displayed arrival allowance. The venue is not charged where no guest is checked in. Any customer cancellation or no-show charge must be clearly disclosed before payment is enabled and remain subject to Australian Consumer Law.
Venue cancellations and changes
If a venue cancels or materially changes the time, place or advertised offer, the customer may choose a full refund of Lenaia fees or rebooking once payments are connected. The venue controls whether a listing is live, paused or sold out; Lenaia administrators may support operations but do not create capacity on a venue's behalf.
Age and responsible service
All guests must be 18 or older and may be asked for valid identification. Licensed venues control service and must comply with responsible-service obligations. A venue may lawfully refuse service because of age, identification, intoxication or behaviour; any refund decision will follow the disclosed policy and applicable law.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. Cancellation fees must reflect reasonable loss and are not intended to operate as penalties.
These pilot terms should be reviewed by a Victorian lawyer before taking real payments or charging cancellation fees.
